7 days till I can lose the boot shoe.
I get a weekly update from a site called mom365, which sends stupid annoying emails 95% of the time but I haven’t unsubscribed yet because I like the weekly emails where it gives a few blurbs on their age and what milestones might be coming next. This week I was warned that another fussy period is coming up soon. That update I could have lived without.
It’s getting to be about time to have a better designated play area/corner for the babies as they are rolling more frequently and worming into different spots. (Bryan took this to mean that we needed to mount the TV on the wall to create more space, which I agree with. This apparently also meant we needed a bigger TV, because according to him our current one is just too small to mount on the wall. If someone can explain this logic to me in a way that makes sense, please feel free.) Anyway, I feel badly that these spots are largely the hardwood floor because their play areas right now are limited to play mats. It still cracks me up a little that they haven’t figured out how to roll back over yet because after a few minutes I get a scream thats like “how did I get here and why can’t I get back mooooooooooooom!!!!!????” Also there seems to be something about being on stomachs that creates this nice burp spit up situation.
I went on a bike ride this week with my stupid boot shoe and it turned out to not be so bad. Bryan and I went on a “date day” on Monday. It was a holiday for him and I am off anyway. Since we are paying for full time day care we took the babies in and spent the day together spending unnecessary money. I made us both promise next time we’d stick to a movie, but in this case I got the Mac I’d been trying to save for – at a pawn shop no less. So, there’s that. We also went to the shooting range where I proceeded to kill the paper guy several times :). My aim is getting better, so watch out.
We haven’t officially started solids yet but went to dinner at my sisters where they made pork chops and applesauce. It was chunky but just for fun we put a small piece in Miles’ mouth, where he gave us quite a “WTF?” look and promptly spit it out.
If you’re still hanging on, onto the fun stuff:
- Miles and Abby make their first trip to the vet

- Miles is a turkey

- We take our 5 month picture….after a few outtakes.

- We finally got a (mostly) good one

- We get some cute new clothes, and we enjoy them by eating them

- Finally, Miles continues to use his charms on the ladies

In case you missed it:

Haha sounds like your husband and mine have similar logic. We somehow ended up with a much bigger TV right before Addie was born. He must have caught me in a moment of pregnant weakness. 😉

It looks like Abby is finally catching up with Miles in the weight dept. The green onsie shot shows them at almost same size. Now if anyone asks you if they are “really” twins you can openly laugh at them.

Must be a good angle. He still has at least 3 lbs on her 🙂

Bahahaha….My husband and I have the same argument about the TV. I refuse to buy a bigger one so right now we still aren’t wall mounting it. I LOL’d at that. Because apparently the TV is now one entire foot further away, therefore your screen size must get one entire foot bigger, right? NO! Stay strong mama! ha ha.
They are so cute! As always 🙂

I lost. But even though we got a bigger one it was only 300 at a pawn shop. So I felt ok about it.
Thanks!!

I always love reading your blog and the updates week by week. Though every baby is different, it gives me a hint about what I might expect with my boys!

Oh my! Look how much they’ve grown! Too cute, and that really is a good angle if he still has her by 3lbs! 😉
