When we bought this house a little over a year and a half ago, we knew we would have to replace the floors. What we didn’t anticipate, however, was infertility and the need to stock money in the event of an IVF. For months I wouldn’t allow either one of us to touch a penny in the savings account
As part of my “try to not let infertility take over my life” campaign, I recently declared: “Screw you infertility, we are doing the floors anyway!” (AND a new washer and dryer! HA!)
And now the moment you have all been waiting for…..the before and after pics 🙂
Left is before, right is after.
It’s like a whole new house.
And now you must excuse me…..I’ve been sucked into 50 Shades of Grey…..

LOVE the floors! Well done! And good for you for going ahead and doing it. Sometimes we feel like we have to put our whole lives on hold and then years go by and you feel like you haven’t done anything you wanted, for YOU.

Exactly. It was very freeing and I really think it’s helped me relax. I was putting so much on hold and it just isn’t worth it.

We just did our floor about two weeks ago with hardwood and I love it! Like you, I’ve been scared to death to spend money for projects. I finally said “Screw you” to infertility too. I don’t regret it, not for one minute.

me either! It was absolutely worth it!
